Scholarly literature promotes using children’s literature with post-secondary students to engage in critical conversations about social issues, such as ethical and moral choices, equity, diversity, inclusion, among others. It has been said that educating reason is not sufficient for caring citizens, we must strengthen the social as well as the cognitive attributes of our students.

During the session, Dr. Bev Fitzpatrick will share examples from her teaching experience and offer suggested readings and practical suggestions for cooperative learning activities that can be used in multi-disciplinary settings.

This is a hybrid session and it will be recorded.
