Maureen Volk has performed as a recitalist, orchestral soloist and chamber musician in Canada and the United States. Recent performances have included New York (Bargemusic), Paris, St. Pierre et Miquelon, Toronto and Atlantic and Western Canada.

Her solo CD Schubert and Debussy was released by Centaur Records in 2008. In 2010, Centaur also released the duo CD Thomas Yee and Maureen Volk, featuring works for two pianos by Canadian composers Michael Conway Baker, John Beckwith, Clifford Crawley and Gary Kulesha.

Dr. Volk was director of the School of Music at Memorial from 1990-2000 and is currently the school's associate dean. In 2014 she was awarded a prestigious 3M National Teaching Fellowship. She has also received the Association of Atlantic Universities Distinguished Teaching Award (2011) and Memorial University's President's Award for Distinguished Teaching (2008).
