If you’re a Memorial employee who wants to improve your ability to interact and communicate more effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds, you can one again apply for funduing that covers professional development in the area of diversity education.
The Diversity Education Fund was developed to engage and educate employees about diversity and intercultural issues and support the university’s internationalization strategy,
The fund supports individual learning initiatives, such as courses and conference attendance, and also helps cover the cost of hiring diversity trainers or facilitators to work with groups.
Applications are now being accepted for the second intake of this fund. Application packages can be sent to Shelley O'Brien, in either electronic or paper format, no later than 4:30 pm on March 9th, 2012.
