The GEO CENTRE is providing free admission for families and to highlight Earth Day, NCC staff will be informing and educating the public about Species at Risk in Atlantic Canada. This will be done through interactive games for children to help them learn which species live in which forest, coastal or wetland habitat. There will also be colouring sheets and facepainting.
“This should be a fun and informative afternoon for families,” says Adele Poynter, Executive Director of The Johnson GEO CENTRE. “The Nature Conservancy of Canada is leading the way in land conservation in this country and we are pleased to partner with them to raise awareness of species at risk”.
