Reshaping the VP (finance and administration) portfolio
The Office of the Vice-President (Administration and Finance) (VPFA) has announced organizational updates for units within the office’s portfolio.
These changes are effective immediately and include:
- The Data Excellence Program will report to the chief information officer (CIO)
- Protective Services will report to the associate vice-president (facilities)
- Student Residence and Ancillary Operations (SRAO) will report to the associate vice-president (finance) and chief financial officer
- The director, Botanical Garden, Johnson Geo Centre and Newfoundland Quarterly will report to the associate vice-president (finance) and chief financial officer
This realignment will streamline and enhance the organizational structure and effectiveness of the portfolio, including optimizing spans of control. It does not affect the mandates, service levels or existing contacts within these units.
“As we reimagine how we operate, I look forward to continuing to work with our teams as they deliver critical and impactful work across the university,” said Alison Horton, vice-president (finance and administration).
