The Public Engagement Framework established public engagement as a core priority at Memorial. Building on a long history of collaboration and partnerships outside the university, the framework helps align Memorial's public engagement activities, supporting and celebrating public engagement successes across the university. 

The Framework offers a long-term vision, values, and goals, along with straightforward objectives for students, faculty and staff to work towards, both in terms of individual projects and in planning and decision-making.

The existing Framework has reached the end of its initial phase. Memorial has now completed a comprehensive renewal process, and will release the next phase of the Framework in winter 2026.
