Music Student Concert Pass Policy

The Student Concert Pass is a mandatory resource for all principal applied courses within the Bachelor of Music programs (Music 140A/B, 240A/B, 340A/B, 345A/B, 440A/B, 445A/B).

Concert passes must be purchased from the School of Music during the first two weeks of the Fall Semester. While mandatory for all Bachelor of Music students, the pass may also be purchased by students enrolled in the Bachelor of Music Education program and graduate students within the Master of Music and Ethnomusicology programs (Master of Arts, PhD).

The cost of the pass is $60 and is valid from September to April of the year it is issued. Students may purchase the passes through the Concert and Facilities Coordinator in MU-2034 (debit, credit, cash, and cheque). Passes must be paid for at the time of pickup.

The concert pass entitles the bearer to admission to all Music@Memorial concerts. Passes can be used to purchase a separate $5 buddy ticket when that ticket is bought at the same time the student ticket is obtained.

Concert passes are non-transferrable and fees are not refundable. Only the student whose name appears on the concert pass may use it and the student must be present at the time of use. Failure to observe this rule will result in confiscation of the pass.

Tickets for Music@Memorial Mainstage Series concerts and Music@Memorial Ensemble Series concerts must be collected from the box office on the evening of the performance, and are subject to availability. Possession of a concert pass does not guarantee that a ticket will be available for any event. In addition, the concert pass does not permit access to the concert venue without a valid ticket.

A valid student pass must always be presented at the box office to get your ticket. No pass, no ticket. No ticket, no admission.

To obtain Concert Credit for an attended show, the valid concert pass must be scanned at the end of the concert by one of the staff on duty; obtaining a ticket using your concert pass is not evidence of your attendance at a concert.
