Research

The Discipline of Pediatrics has a long history of contributing to children’s health research both within our province and beyond.

Faculty and clinicians within the Discipline conduct both clinical and applied health research in areas such as adolescent mental health, diabetes, rheumatology, hematology, childhood obesity, asthma, oncology, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, neonatology, genetics, autism, neurology, infant nutrition and breastfeeding, arthritis, and eating disorders.

The Discipline of Pediatrics is also home to the Janeway Pediatric Research Unit (JPRU) , which supports pediatric research being conducted across the Discipline of Pediatrics and Eastern Health's Janeway Children's Health and Rehabilitation Centre.
