Hotmail unable to receive MUN emails

The Department of Computing and Communications would like to advise MUN email users that we are experiencing service issues when sending email to Microsoft email services such as and Due to a recent phishing attempt, a MUN email user provided his/her account password to an unknown party who in turn used that information to take control of the account and send out over 40,000 SPAM emails. Our email administrators are working with Microsoft support to resolve the issue.

Computing and Communications would like to remind MUN email users that we will NEVER request password or personal information be sent to us or to any other MUN technical team via email.
