Developing Your Teaching Dossier
Developing Your Teaching Dossier is a self-paced, four-part program for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Through this series, you’ll explore strategies to reflect on your teaching experience and develop a professional teaching dossier.
A teaching dossier showcases your:
- Teaching philosophy.
- Teaching and related experiences.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
It is a valuable resource when applying for academic positions, awards or funding opportunities.
Series Overview
The series includes four self-directed, 60-minute modules in Brightspace:
- Reflecting on Your Teaching Experience: Introduction to teaching dossiers.
- Articulating Your Teaching Values and Practices: Developing your statement of teaching philosophy.
- Connecting Narratives and Evidence: Building the components of your teaching dossier.
- Looking Ahead: Telling new stories about your teaching experiences.
Participants earn a Brightspace badge for each module and a Certificate of Completion after finishing all four modules.
