Learning Environment Development

Explore the innovative learning environments created by CITL's classroom technologies team. In collaboration with Facilities Management, faculty and stakeholders, CITL helps design and develop dynamic learning and meeting spaces where technology seamlessly supports pedagogy and function. Our goal is to enhance the student experience through thoughtfully designed environments that foster engagement, flexibility and innovation.

Our portfolio features a variety of modern, inclusive learning spaces, including classroom spaces for active learning, hybrid learning and informal learning. We also design and develop versatile meeting and seminar rooms on campus. These spaces incorporate features promoting accessibility and inclusion, including:

  • Height-adjustable instructor podiums and student desks.
  • Assistive listening technology for the hearing impaired.
  • Flexible furniture and layouts to accommodate different learning styles.

Active Learning Classrooms

Developed with the flexibility to transition between traditional lectures and facilitated group work, these spaces promote student collaboration and engagement.

Hybrid Learning Classrooms

Designed to seamlessly integrate technology, these spaces create an inclusive and engaging experience for both in-person and remote participants.

Technology-Enhanced Spaces

CITL's Classroom Technologies team designs a wide range of classrooms and multipurpose spaces that effectively integrate technology with room design and intended use.
