The vision for the BLI is an environment and resources to inspire innovative ideas, promote curious discovery and support systematic exploration of concepts, technologies and approaches that advance teaching and learning.

The BLI will:

• Initiate projects to investigate major trends and topics in teaching and learning.
• Provide space, both physical and virtual, with access to expertise, resources, partners and technologies to research and experiment with new ideas or expand existing ones.
• Offer funding programs to seed ideas, and provide support to design, text and project manage these ideas.
• Engage partners—educators, researchers, students, staff and the community—to initiate, support, explore and advance new and innovative practices and technologies in teaching and learning.
• Provide a forum for networking, cross-pollination of ideas and showcasing innovations.

The BLI will be designed to grow the impact of initiatives within the Memorial community and share this knowledge with external partners and stakeholders.
