Evelyn Tilley, BSW'90, MSW'01
Evelyn (Moores) Tilley (BSW 1990, MSW 2001)
I am delighted to put my name forward as an Alumni member of Memorial University Board of Regents.
A native of Clarenville, I graduated from Memorial with a Bachelor of Social Work in 1990, followed by a Master of Social Work in 2001. Since 1990, I have worked in the mental health field in rural areas of the province. My current position is Manager of Mental Health and Addictions, Eastern Health, where I make decisions impacting budget, service delivery, human resources and strategic direction. I am an experienced governance director - a former member of the NL Association of Social Workers Board and currently a member of the Regional Action Committee on Housing (REACH) Board.
Outside of work, I am an active leader in my community. I have been a director on the Clarenville Cooperative Board and am currently a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church Vestry and the Clarenville Nordic Ski Club executive. I enjoy all aspects of life in rural NL with my husband Paul (MUN 2001) children Hannah, MUN student and Harrison (CNA student). Ensuring the voice of people living in rural areas is heard as our province evolves is one of my passions. I bring their voices forward every day, through my work and my community involvement. I ask for your support so I can bring this passion, my leadership experience, and my social work/mental health background, to the governance of Memorial as an Alumni rep on the Board of Regents.
