Interdisciplinary interaction and research among the divisions of BioMedical Sciences, Community Health and Humanities and Clinical Sciences is promoted.

Programs have been designed to attract students interested in a Graduate Diploma or a Master's, Ph.D. or M.D.-Ph.D. degree. Areas of strength include Applied Health Services Research, Cancer, Cardiovascular and Renal Sciences, Clinical Epidemiology, Community Health, Human Genetics, Immunology and Infectious Diseases, and Neurosciences.
