To meet the licensing requirements for practising nursing in Canada, students must write the licensure examination from the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE).
To be eligible to write the registered nurse licensure examination, candidates must graduate from an approved School of Nursing and be recommended by the School of Nursing.
In order to be recommended for the registered nurse licensure examination, a student must complete a comprehensive examination set by the Bachelor of Nursing (Collaborative) Program Fast-Track Option. The comprehensive examination may be in the form of a commercial examination, eg. Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE). The cost of commercial examinations shall be the responsibility of the student.
