For the candidate in part-time enrolment, the program of study is designed to permit completion of all degree requirements within nine semesters or three calendar years.

For the candidate in full-time enrolment non-thesis route, the program of study is designed to permit completion of all degree requirements within three semesters or one calendar year, as follows.
- Fall semester: 6011, 6312(institute), 6412
- Winter semester: 6322(institute), 6422, Elective
- Spring semester: 6432, 6442, 6332 (institute), 6912
