Dr. Judith McFetridge-Durdle, dean of Memorial's School of Nursing, officially welcomes first year nursing students into the profession of nursing at the annual crest ceremony on Tues., February 12, 2013 at 6:30 pm.
The School of Nursing (SON) annual crest ceremony was initiated in 2009.
This year’s event will take place in the main auditorium of the Health Sciences Centre. During this special event first year students in the regular stream and fast-track Bachelor of Nursing (BN) Collaborative Program will receive School of Nursing crests presented by Dr. Judith McFetridge-Durdle, dean.
As part of the ceremony students also recite the Pledge of Professionalism.
The school has 91 first year BN students in total, with 61 in the four-year regular stream program and 30 in the two-year fast-track program.
A reception will follow in the main foyer, of the Health Sciences Centre.
