Computer Science The Computer Science Society is getting ready to launch a new community initiative they hope will be a great benefit to parents of children with autism. The group is planning a 48-hour code-a-thon February 17-19 to design, develop and test a web-based software application to connect families and therapists.
Congratulations to Dr. Todd Wareham, Associate Professor in our department, for getting the go-ahead for a proposed Dagstuhl seminar on "Resource-bounded Problem Solving" in 2014. Dagstuhl seminars are week-long informal meetings of scholars interested in hot topics in Computer Science research, held in the beautiful setting of an 18th century castle in Germany. Roughly 45 scholars will be hosted by Drs. Wareham, Iris van Rooij (Radboud University Nijmegen), Yll Haxhimusa (Vienna Institute of Technology), and Sashank Varma (University of Minnesota).
The 2012/2013 Undergraduate Handbook is now available on the Computer Science website http://www.mun.ca/computerscience/ugrad/UGhandbook_2012_2013__without_cover.pdf
