Illegal Drugs

Memorial University does not condone the use of illegal drugs. In addition to Federal drug laws, the Student Code of Conduct outlines drug offences as possessing illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia, whether it be for personal use or intent to traffic and/or distribution or trafficking in prescription drugs.

Students will be held accountable as per the regulations in the Student Code of Conduct and will be referred to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary for charges relating to federal laws.

Campus Enforcement and Patrol Officers are equipped with naloxone kits and are trained to administer Naloxone to counteract the effects of an opioid overdose.

If you suspect someone is experiencing a drug overdose and requires medical attention call Campus Enforcement and Patrol at 864-4100 or 911. If calling 911 please place a follow up call to Campus Enforcement and Patrol at 864-4100.
