Converting Eudora 7 from POP to IMAP

Step 1. Click Tools, Option?

Step 2. Scroll to the top of the Category field and select Getting Started. The only necessary changes should be to change Mail Server (Incoming): to mail.mun.ca and SMTP Server (Outgoing): to smtp.mun.ca.
Please note: if you are using an internet service provider other than MUN, then you will need to ask your Internet Service Provider for the proper SMTP settings for your e-mail.

Step 3. In the Category field click Checking Mail. The Mail Server should be set to mail.mun.ca, and the username to your personal username for your email account.

Step 4. In the Category field select Incoming Mail. Click IMAP to change the server configuration from POP to IMAP.

Step 5. In the Category field select Sending Mail. The SMTP server field should say mail.mun.ca. Click OK. Please note: if you are using an internet service provider other than MUN, then you will need to ask your Internet Service Provider for the proper SMTP settings for your e-mail.

Step 6. When prompted, enter your password for your email account and click OK.

Step 7. Your mail will now be listed under the header <Dominant> ? your folders should automatically synch with Webmail, i.e., should look exactly like your e-mail and folders in Webmail. If they do not synch, close Eudora and open it again.
