About

The Multi-Dimensional Student

The AVP(Academic) and Dean of Students reports directly to the Provost and Vice-President (Academic). The portfolio supports various multi-dimensional needs of students at Memorial University.

At Memorial we chose a multi-dimensional lens to understand the student experience in a student-centered way – that each student is balancing much more than just  their academic responsibilities.

In fact, Transforming Our Horizons, Memorial’s strategic plan highlights student-centered service as one of six aspirations for our culture – “that students are central, and we listen and respond to those we serve.”
