  • We’re excited you’ll be joining Memorial University. The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) will be offering a virtual Graduate Orientation for students admitted into graduate programs for the current year, from Winter to Fall 2020. You will receive an invitation to Graduate Orientation (called MUN 501) by email soon. Please visit the Graduate Orientation website for more information and to watch videos from Graduate Orientation 2019.

  • Throughout the summer months, we’ll be hosting information sessions for newly admitted graduate students starting in the Fall 2020 semester. Please review your email account for invitations and information on how to register.

  • Our academic units hold individual departmental/program orientation sessions. We encourage you to contact the Graduate Officer of your academic unit for more details on these events.

  • The Internationalization Office is offering information sessions every Thursday from June 11 to August 20 for new international students on immigration updates, general Q&A, study permit applications, and the post-graduation work permit. More for information and to register, please visit the IO website.

  • SGS is offering open and topic-based meetings every Friday from July 17 to September 18. The general meetings are offered at 10 a.m. NDT on Friday’s and open to all new graduate students. Faculty and staff from SGS, academic units, and IO will be present to answer any questions you might have as you plan and prepare to commence your graduate programs in the Fall 2020 semester. The topic-based meetings are offered at 1 p.m. NDT on Fridays and will focus on key skills and knowledge important for all graduate students to be successful. These sessions will draw on faculty and staff experts from across Memorial’s campuses. Click on the link below for more information and to register.
