The awarding of honorary degrees is an important feature of Memorial’s Convocation and is meant to honor both the individual and the University as well as inspire our graduates, their families and guests. 

The selection of honorary graduates is a confidential process. Honorary degree recipients will be publicly announced prior to convocation ceremonies. The outcome of individual nominations will not be released out of respect both for the nominee and the integrity of the process. Please ensure that the nominee is unaware of the nomination.
