Orchestra and Wind Ensemble Audition Materials

Dear music students,

Welcome, and welcome back, to the MUN School of Music for another year of adventure and discovery! Every fall, all music students (new and returning) must audition for ensemble placement. In addition, we welcome auditions by community members and students from other faculties who may wish to perform with one of our ensembles.

Note for Woodwind and Brass players: If you do not wish to be considered for the orchestra, you need only prepare the wind ensemble excerpts.

This year, auditions for the Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble will take place on Tuesday, September 3rd. As you’ll only do one audition, and not one for each ensemble, a sign-up sheet for winds, brass and percussion will be posted outside Professor Brennan’s office (MU 2003) and for string players, outside of Dr. Regehr’s office (MU 2024). Below please find the schedule by instrument, and location.
