As part of Memorial University's Faculty of Medicine, the Discipline of Psychiatry offers a General Psychiatry program, as well as two sub-specialty programs, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Geriatric Psychiatry. The general program is designed to provide education, training and expertise in the required CanMeds roles in psychiatry as outlined by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The sub-specialty programs offer a high degree of individual attention, teaching, supervision and support to our residents.
