Morgon joined Memorial University in January 2010 and has been a Program Coordinator at the Labrador Institute since May 2012. He administers the library and archive, delivers projects in research, education, and engagement, and supports Labrador Institute programs, staff, and partners.

Morgon frequently teaches as well, and since September 2015 he has been a PhD student in the Department of English, with a research focus on the production, propagation, and reception of Labrador texts. He is the Labrador Regional Coordinator for Resources and Sustainable Development in the Arctic (ReSDA, a SSHRC-funded social sciences research network), and was previously Skills Development Coordinator for Memorial’s Inuit Bachelor of Social Work Program.
