[April 7th, 2021] Until the Government of NL officially announces the reinstatement of the “Atlantic Bubble”, part of the arrivals process to Newfoundland and Labrador involves a minimum 14-day self-isolation period. Students planning travel within the Atlantic Provinces should be prepared for sudden changes in self-isolation requirements.
All students planning travel to NL (including those in the Atlantic Provinces) must complete the arrivals form (linked below) through this site to inform the institution of your travel, so that we may support your arrival and possible self-isolation period if there are sudden self-isolation requirement changes.
Before proceeding, please carefully read the following information:
- Online (Remote) Delivery of Classes for the 2020-2021 Academic Year
For the Fall Semester, 2020 and the Winter Semester, 2021, classes will take place in a primarily remote and online teaching and learning environment. This means that you will have the option to start or continue your Memorial University education from the comfort of your home wherever you are in the world.
It is important to note that unless you have been expressly advised by your department (supervisor), faculty or school, you are not expected to travel to Newfoundland and Labrador to commence or continue your studies in fall 2020 or winter 2021.
Memorial’s main priorities are to ensure that all current students are able to successfully progress through their programs, and that all new students have the best possible start to their academic experience at Memorial, despite the challenges associated with ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic.
- Domestic Students Will be Required to Self-Isolate Upon Entry to Newfoundland & Labrador
If you are travelling to Memorial University from the other provinces and territories of Canada, you will be required to self-isolate for 14 days upon your arrival.
