The Harris Centre is going to Gander: Want to come along?

On June 14, the Harris Centre will be taking a bus to the Kittiwake region to tour local businesses and enjoy lunch at the historic Barbour Living Heritage Village Site in Newtown.

That evening in Gander, there will be a special Memorial Presents Event titled, Manufacturing and Regional Development: Challenges and Opportunities, featuring engineering faculty member Dr. Andy Fisher.

The next day there will be a regional workshop event where Memorial researchers and community members from the Kittiwake region will work together to come up with research project ideas. Those ideas will then be brought back to Memorial with the ultimate goal of finding researchers to follow through on them.

All Memorial students, staff and researchers are invited to attend the tour and Memorial Presents event on the 14th and/or the regional workshop on the 15th.

Transportation to and from Gander will be provided and is free of charge. In addition, free accommodations in Gander are available to a limited number of graduate students on a first come, first served basis.
