Public forum in Port Aux Basques to explore fleet separation policy

This free, open-to-the-public event will take place on April 24, 2012, beginning at 7:00 pm, at St. Christopher’s Hotel in Port Aux Basques.

Fleet separation is a complex concept with the potential to impact the economic, social and cultural fabric of this province. Join Memorial University’s Dr. Tom Cooper and Fish, Food and Allied Workers Union President, Earle McCurdy, for “Why the Divorce? The Merits and Shortcomings of a Fleet Separation Policy”. Both speakers will offer presentations, followed by an open discussion with questions and comments from the audience. A reception will follow the event.

The event will also be webcast live to allow viewers from across the province to participate. If you’re interested in watching online, please visit www.mun.ca/harriscentre.

We recommend that you load the site slightly before the scheduled start time.
