A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for GivingTuesday on Dec. 2, 2025! Thanks to the generosity of the entire Memorial community, the support for our students keeps growing.

Our donors contributed to the wellbeing and success of Memorial’s students, providing access to emergency support, scholarships, bursaries and so much more. Each donation will help unlock the knowledge and skills students need to take on the world – and the world definitely needs the next generation of Memorial students!

Donors supported a large range of student-related causes across Memorial’s campuses this year and unlocked $70,000 in matching funds towards the Thriving Student Fund. Donations had twice the impact for students!

Thriving Student Fund 

The Thriving Student Fund was created as a priority fund for GivingTuesday to provide funding as needed, where needed for students. Whether it’s short-term emergency support or empowerment through scholarships and bursaries, this fund helps students to achieve academic and personal success during their time at Memorial.  
  
 All donations to the Thriving Student Fund support undergraduate and graduate students across all campuses, increasing access to education and providing financial support so that students can focus on their studies.  

What is GivingTuesday? 

 GivingTuesday is a global movement that inspires generosity and kindness. Following on the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it kicks off the giving season and encourages people to do good in their communities. 

Memorial has participated in GivingTuesday since 2015. Since then, alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends have raised over $1.1M, showing that, together, we make a real difference for our students! 

The impact of GivingTuesday donations will make a positive difference all year long. We look forward to creating more opportunities for student success next year. Save the date for GivingTuesday 2026 on Dec. 1, 2026!
