Final exam delivery FAQs
Instructors were given the option of an alternate form of delivery for their on-campus final exams. What is this alternate form?
No specific alternate form was intended. Instructors who wish to avail of this option should consult with the head of their academic unit to determine suitable approaches. Depending on the needs of the course, CITL’s Remote Instruction Transition Team may able to assist in identifying an appropriate alternate delivery method.
What types of invigilation are available for a final exam delivered in an alternate form?
In-person invigilation and the online invigilation services normally offered by CITL will not be available in April. It is up to the instructor and the academic unit to determine what type of invigilation, if any, may be feasible.
If I replace my on-campus final exam with a take-home final exam, when must students submit their answers?
A take-home final exam should be due no earlier than the published date of the on-campus final exam it is replacing. Instructors implementing a take-home final exam should consult with the head of their academic unit to ensure fairness and consistency of practices.
If I replace my on-campus final exam with a timed piece of evaluation (such as an uninvigilated online exam), when can this be held?
A timed piece of evaluation should follow the date and time scheduled for the on-campus final exam. However, the timed piece of evaluation could be of shorter duration, at the discretion of the instructor.
