Archaeoentomology, environmental archaeology, Labrador Inuit, cultural landscapes, human agency and use of space in archaeological contexts.
My research uses methods in archaeoentomology to examine relationships between people and the environments in which they lived. I will be analyzing beetle (Coleoptera) remains within peat samples near Inuit sites in Labrador to reconstruct past environmental conditions. I will be looking at how people interact with and influence the landscapes they occupy over time.
