The books are usually recently published novels, but other types of books are sometimes chosen as well, such as classics, biographies, memoirs, and some non-fiction.

WHAT WE READ

The books range over a wide varieties of subjects, such as history, art, music, health, travels, social matters, psychology. Biographies and memoirs are popular.

WHERE AND WHEN WE MEET

We meet at 1:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday

of the month at the Marjorie Mews Library.

WHERE AND WHEN WE MEET

We meet at 1:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday

of the month  at the Marjorie Mews Library.

HOW WE SELECT THE BOOKS WE READ

Members vote on a list of books which they have read and recommended to the group.

BOOK SELECTION CRITERIA

Members must have read the book they recommend (not just have relied on a review).

The book must cost less than $20, which in most cases means it is available in paperback or as an e-book.

BOOK AVAILABILITY

Many of the books are available at local libraries.

It is also usually possible to borrow books from other members of the group, if needed.
