The Dean's Awards for Service Excellence recognize the work and contributions of graduate staff members (administrative/support and academic) that exceeds the expectations for those positions. The following criteria are used to select two candidates each year for this honour:
A maximum of two awards will be granted each year, one each to an individual who is:
Administrative/support staff and faculty appointed as graduate officers or equivalent working in academic departments or programs within the School of Graduate Studies at the time of nomination are eligible for this award.
Any academic or administrative staff member or graduate student may nominate an individual for this award. The nomination package should include:

Recipients of the Dean's Award for Service Excellence will be notified by letter within two months of the nomination deadline, and will receive a framed certificate at the Graduate Awards Ceremony in May each year.
