O righteous God, I have sinned against Thy holy law, and have merited only Thy everlasting displeasure. But now I repent of my grievous sins--I confess them, and renounce them, and desire to live a holy life, free from the commission of sin; and I implore Thy Son, Jesus Christ, my only Saviour, to intercede for me, that I may be pardoned. Have mercy upon, O Lord Jesus, and save my soul from sin and eternal death, for Thy name's sake--AMEN.
