1 Corinthians 2:9-16
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God
hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit: for the
Spirit searcheth all things, even, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, except the spirit
of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man,
but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the
spirit which is from God; that we may know the things that are
freely given to us by God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's
wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Spirit teacheth; comparing
spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit
of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know
them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself
is judged by no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may
instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Hebrews 1:1-14
1 God, who at different times and in various ways spoke in time
past to the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he
hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the
worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express
image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his
power, when he had by himself made purification of our sins, sat
down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by
inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For to which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my
Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a
Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the
world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits,
and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But to the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever
and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy
kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore
God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness
above thy fellows.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation
of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thy hands:
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall
become old as doth a garment;
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be
changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my
right hand, until I make thy enemies thy footstool?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister
for them who shall inherit salvation?

Philippians 2:5-11
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be
equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form
of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and
became obedient to death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a
name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things
in heaven, and things on earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ
is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Mark 1:1-15
1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger
before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way
of the Lord, make his paths straight.
4 John was baptizing in the wilderness, and preaching the
baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
5 And there went out to him all the land of Judaea, and they of
Jerusalem, and were all baptized by him in the river Jordan,
confessing their sins.
6 And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a leather
waistband around his loins; and he ate locusts and wild honey;
7 And preached, saying, There cometh after me one mightier than
I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and
loose.
8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize
you with the Holy Spirit.
9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from
Nazareth to Galilee, and was baptized by John in Jordan.
10 And immediately coming up out of the water, he saw the
heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my
beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
12 And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness.
13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by
Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to
him.
14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee,
preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is
at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion
on them, because they were faint, and were scattered abroad, as

plentiful, but the labourers are few;

forth labourers into his harvest.

Romans 8:26-34
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know
not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit himself
maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind
of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints
according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to his
purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be
conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn
among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and
whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified,
them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us,
who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us
all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It
is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, or
rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of
God, who also maketh intercession for us.

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you
that I depart: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come
to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of
righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me
no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12 I have yet many things to say to you, but ye cannot bear
them now.
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you
into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but
whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show
you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall
show it to you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore I said,
that he shall take of mine, and show it to you.

21 For even to this were ye called: because Christ also

22 Who committed no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he
suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that
judgeth righteously:
24 Who himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that
we, being dead to sins, should live to righteousness: by whose

1 John 2:1-6
1 My little children, these things I write to you, that ye sin
not. And if any man sinneth, we have an advocate with the Father,
Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours
only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 And by this we do know that we know him, if we keep his
commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments,
is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoever keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of
God perfected: by this we know that we are in him.

walk, even as he walked.

21 But they cried, saying, Crucify, crucify him.
22 And he said to them the third time, Why, what evil hath he
done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore
chastise him, and let him go.
23 And they were urgent with loud voices, requiring that he
might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief
priests prevailed.
24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.
25 And he released to them him that for sedition and murder had
been cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered
Jesus to their will.
26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a
Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the
cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.
27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of
women, who also bewailed and lamented him.
28 But Jesus turning to them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep
not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
29 For, behold, the days are coming, in which they shall say,
Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the
breasts which never nourished infants.
30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us;
and to the hills, Cover us.
31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be
done in the dry?
32 And two others, who were malefactors, were led with him to
be put to death.
33 And when they had come to the place, which is called
Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on
the right hand, and the other on the left.

John 20:1-10
1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when
it was yet dark, to the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away
from the sepulchre.
2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other
disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith to them, They have taken
away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they
have laid him.
3 Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came
to the sepulchre.
4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple outran
Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.
5 And he stooping down, saw the linen cloths lying; yet he went
not in.
6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the
sepulchre, and seeth the linen cloths lying there,
7 And the cloth, that was about his head, not lying with the
linen cloths, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
8 Then went in also that other disciple, who came first to the
sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.
9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise
again from the dead.
10 Then the disciples went away again to their own home.

Acts 1:1-14
1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that
Jesus began both to do and teach,
2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through
the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom he
had chosen:
3 To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by
many infallible proofs, being seen by them forty days, and
speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
4 And, being assembled with them, commanded them that they
should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the
Father, which, saith he, ye have heard from me.
5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized
with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him,
saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to
Israel?
7 And he said to them, It is not for you to know the times or
the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit is come
upon you: and ye shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and
in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the
earth.
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he
was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went
up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Who also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up to
heaven? this same Jesus, who is taken from you into heaven, shall
so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called
Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.
13 And when they had come in, they went into an upper room,
where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip,
and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of
Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and
supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and
with his brethren.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the

John 3:1-16
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of
the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we
know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do
these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say to
thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of
God.
4 Nicodemus saith to him, How can a man be born when he is old?
can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say to thee, Except a man
be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the
kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is
born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said to thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it will, and thou hearest its sound,
but canst not tell where it cometh from, and where it goeth: so
is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said to him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said to him, Art thou a teacher of
Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say to thee, We speak what we know, and
testify what we have seen; and ye receive not our testimony.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how
shall ye believe, if I tell you heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended to heaven, but he that came down
from heaven, even the Son of man who is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even
so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
eternal life.

Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to
live according to the flesh.
13 For if ye live according to the flesh, ye shall die: but if
ye through the Spirit mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to
