Getting ready in high school

There are a couple of things you need to do to get on a successful path to a career in pharmacy:

  • Develop good study habits.
  • Meet with your high school guidance counselor to ensure that you're on the right track for the prerequisite courses required for Pharmacy.

The following table lists the 10 (30 credit hours) required MUN prerequisites and accompanying Newfoundland and Labrador high school preparatory courses:

No high school biology required

English - 6 credit hours (with a recommendation for an English Critical Reading and Writing course)

Grade 12/Senior Secondary English; English 3201 for NL students

Mathematics 1000 and 1001

Review the Mathematics Course Criteria Chart in the Guide to First Year for requirements for admission into Math 1000.

Physics 1020 or 1050 and

Physics 1021 or 1051
