National Student Nursing Week

The Canadian Nursing Students' Association is celebrating National Nursing Student Week from November 12th-18th.

National Student Nursing Week is an opportunity to recognize the outstanding work done by nursing students and to promote specifically the role of a nursing student and the nursing profession as a whole.

Students at Memorial's School of Nursing (MUNSON) are marking the week with activities and special events to recognize and celebrate the hard-work and dedication MUNSON students show everyday.

Students are invited to drop by the  "Nursing Student Star Board" in the main hallway and write words of praise for their peers about how they excel as nursing students everyday! You can write about specific students, clinical groups, classes, etc!

Highlights for the week include a potluck lunch on Thursday from 11:30-1:30 in room 2908, a nursing photo scavenger hunt, a fundraiser to help provide small loans to people living in developing countries, a bottle drive to support Kidney Cancer Canada, a movie night and other social events! There are prize draws too, including a grand prize draw that pays for registration at the Canadian Student Nursing Association Conference in January at Dalhousie University.
