The Department of Human Resources and the International Centre are partnering once again to support professional development for faculty and staff through the Diversity Education Fund.
Developed to engage and educate employees about diversity and intercultural issues and support the university’s internationalization strategy, The Diversity Education Fund is in its second year of funding and is supported by the Strategic Internationalization Fund.
“Memorial is an institution with a growing and diverse population,” said Steven Dodge, director of Human Resources for Memorial University. “We want to continue building an inclusive working and learning environment for students, faculty and staff; that’s absolutely critical to the success of this university.”
The fund supports individual learning initiatives, such as courses and conference attendance, and also helps cover the cost of hiring diversity trainers or facilitators to work with groups of employees.
