In coming months, Human Resources will be launching one of its largest undertakings to date, a shared services centre called MyHR.
Most of the university’s day-to-day HR functions are currently being centralized in MyHR. Once launched, MyHR will provide information, direct self-service options, HR solutions and access to a team of HR professionals to support clients in the overall employment experience. General intake and inquiries will be handled by MyHR as will staffing and employee onboarding, employee maintenance and end of employment activities.
The move to MyHR involves a lot of change and, once the centre is open, the way HR interacts with clients throughout the university will also change. MyHR will utilize a case management system to manage requests for service and responses. This system will also enable employees to access the status of their HR request at any time.
With so many functions and responsibilities involved, HR has had to restructure, revise a number of roles, and hire people to fill newly created MyHR positions. Extensive training has been conducted for MyHR staff members and the department is undergoing renovations to the space it occupies on the fourth floor of the Arts and Administration Building to accommodate this new shared services centre.
We welcome your patience as we work through this exciting transformation. Stay tuned for information on the official launch of MyHR.
