Management

The Conference Office of
Memorial University of Newfoundland offers expertise in
organizational management for meetings, workshops, seminars and
conferences. The office also may be contracted to function as a
full conference secretariat or to undertake the planning and
execution of one or more of the event components. Services include,
among others, assistance in the preparation of bids for conferences
and conventions, managing all meeting logistics including
registration, food and beverage and social events, preparation of
promotional materials, budgeting, and negotiating contracts with
external agencies such as hotels, restaurants, tour operators and
the entertainment sector. Conference office personnel work with
conference planning committees and support staff to ensure that
events are well organized and run smoothly.
Conference management has been part of conference
operations since 1995.
