Human dimensions in protected areas management in Ecuador
Research description
Tourism and fisheries are important economic activities for coastal communities in Ecuador. These activities also play a role as the core issues in the complex interactions among the people living in and around protected areas and the use of these resources for their livelihood.
My research explores the role that local community attitudes and values play in wildlife, tourism and fisheries management in these coastal/insular areas in Ecuador.
