Summer employment opportunity for Geography students
The Geological Survey is currently looking for up to 23 (numbers may change) enthusiastic students for summer employment (six weeks to four months). Students must be returning to an undergraduate or graduate program in Fall 2013 and have at least first year Geography and Earth Science courses to be considered. Additional Earth Sciences courses, as well as courses in Environmental Science, Physical Geography and ArcGIS are assets.
There will be an information night on Monday, January 28 in the Earth Sciences Faculty Lounge (ER 4065) to learn more about these positions. This presentation will also include tips for resume and application writing, as well as preparing for interviews. Pizza and beverages will be served.
Applications are now available from the main offices of Geography (SN 2012) and Earth Sciences (ER 4063). The application deadline is January 31 at 4:00 p.m. in the Earth Sciences office (ER 4063). When dropping off your application, you may sign up for a 10-minute interview on February 6, 7, or 8. The interview schedule will be posted in both Geography and Earth Sciences on Monday, February 4 and interviews will take place in ER 4064.
