Gardening in St. John's can be difficult, especially for students. Two major issues most wannabe gardeners will face in the city are a lack of space, and a lack of know-how. These are two problems that the MUN community garden hopes to offer solutions to. Located behind the Queen's College in St. John's, the garden was launched as part of the Make Midterm Matter program in October 2010. Since then, it has proven to be a big hit on campus. With 31 plots available to students, staff, faculty, and retirees, the garden is an excellent opportunity for gardeners of all skill levels.
