All our Early Childhood Educators are certified by the provincial government through the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Through ongoing professional development, staff remain informed of current research in Early Childhood Education. Campus Childcare arranges in-house professional development each semester for all staff.
All staff must participate in a minimium of thirty hours of professional development to retain their certification.
All staff are trained in first aid and maintain current police
record checks, child protection record checks, and immunization records.
Participation in voluntary endeavours such as Peer Mentoring with the College of the North Atlantic and Keyin College is an example of the dedication to the field of ECE that Campus Childcare represents.
Our staff are committed to highlighting the value of the Early Childhood profession in the community.
Many of our staff lead and participate in advocacy groups for the advancement of quality childcare such as the Childcare Coalition, Recruitment and Retention of Early Childhood Educators, and the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Newfoundland and Labrador.
