MSc – Memorial University is the only university in Atlantic Canada to offer a master’s degree in management. PhD – The degree of doctor of philosophy in management is offered at the Faculty of Business Administration where students have the opportunity to collaborate with world-class researchers and engage in a stimulating and supportive intellectual environment. This program is designed to prepare students for research and teaching careers in academia as well as for research-oriented positions in industry. Description of program
- MSc – Memorial’s MSc is a two-year, thesis-based program that offers concentrations in one of five main areas of management: general management, organizational behaviour, human resource management, information systems and operations management. Students complete one year of coursework that exposes them to innovative research and practices in their selected area of study and prepares them to undertake independent, original research as part of a thesis research project in the second year.
- PhD – The PhD program is a four-year, full-time program that involves coursework, a comprehensive exam and a thesis. Students complete two years of coursework in one of two concentrations – operations management and information systems or organizational behaviour and human resource management – that exposes them to state-of-the-art research in their selected area of study and prepares them to undertake independent, original research during the dissertation stage.

Minimum admission requirements:
- MSc - Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of study as well as a minimum GMAT score of 600. A minimum GRE score of 302 will be accepted in lieu of GMAT scores.
- PhD – Master’s degree in an appropriate area of study as well as a minimum GMAT score of 600. A minimum GRE score of 302 will be accepted in lieu of GMAT scores.
