In addition to the web application, some academic units require that additional forms be completed and submitted. This list will be updated periodically. Please note your full name (last, first) and Memorial student number or date of birth and submit by email to gradapply@mun.ca or mail to SGS.

Additional information including statement of purpose, sample publications and curriculum vitae is required. Please see the Faculty of Education website to ensure that you include all necessary documentation.

 

Additional documents

Some departments also require additional documents, such as samples of writing. Please enter your writing sample in the appropriate section of the web application form. If you writing sample exceeds 25 pages in length, please submit by email to gradapply@mun.ca. Please note your full name (last, first) and Memorial student number or date of birth on all email attachments.

 

Archaeology - Sample of academic writing (e.g., term paper)

Arts and Education (Master of Arts and Education) - Sample of writing in French

Business Administration - GMAT (or GRE for PhD in Management)

Education (PhD) - Sample publications 

English - Sample of writing

Environmental Policy - One page statement outlining research interests, letter of appraisal from three (3) referees (at least one academic and one professional), two official transcripts from each university or other post-secondary institution previously attended.

Ethnomusicology - Sample of writing (e.g., one or two essays)

Folklore (PhD only) - Graduate-level term paper, chapter from a thesis, or a published article

Health Ethics - Representative sample of written work

History - Sample of writing

Human Kinetics (MPE) - Resume or curriculum vitae

Humanities - Sample of academic writing

Music (MMus) - Complete repertoire list and list of all previous teachers

Philosophy - Sample of writing (e.g., course essay)

Political Science - Sample of writing (e.g., one or two course essays, preferably Political Science)

Psychology - General section of the GRE, sample of academic writing (for MASP (Co-op) applicants)

Sociology - Sample of writing (e.g., term paper, article)

Gender Studies - Sample of writing
