Training Requirements

Training imcludes a review of the peer helper manual and may include a 1/2 day training session. Then, throughout the semester, training may include a 1 hour weekly training/planning session.

Training for Peer Helpers is generally referred to as "Skills Development" which covers the basics of team building, student development theory, communication skills, values clarification and referral skills.

Peer Helpers are encouraged to attend all training sessions.
