Under the leadership of Dr. Noreen Golfman (pictured at right), the Office of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) is committed to enabling the university to be recognized as one of the most distinguished public universities in Canada through supporting excellence in education, scholarship and student experience. An important role of the office is to align activities, operations, budget, policies, and administrative structures with the academic mission, strategic priorities and plans, and our frameworks Teaching and LearningResearch and Public Engagement.

It is innovation and a forward thinking approach that keeps Memorial University on the path to distinction as we continue to fulfill our commitments to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.
