Dean of Record appoints two (or, if so decided, one) external members to Review Panel

Dean of Record appoints one of the two internal Review Panelists to serve as chair

The Coordinator, Review Panel Chair and Unit Head establish time and set schedule for review process

Unit submits Self-Study to Dean/Director

By December 15

The Coordinator confirms travel/accommodations for external Review Panel members; confirms schedule for site visit

Dean/Director distributes self-study document and relevant University documents (e.g. Strategic Plan), to Review Panel members

Review Panel reviews self study, requesting additional materials as necessary

SITE VISIT: Between January 15 and February 28

Review Panel completes and submits written Review Panel Report to Coordinator for transmission to Dean/Director

Dean/Director distributes Report to the unit head, and unit faculty, staff and students

The Dean/Director and unit Head meet to discuss the complete report and create an action plan, including a timeline and an assignment of responsibilities

The action plan is circulated to faculty within the unit for discussion and comment

The Dean/Director and unit Head meet to make amendments to Action Plan as necessary

The Self-Study and Panel Report, together with the action plan and relevant supporting documents, are forwarded to the PBC for consideration in respect of planning and budgeting. A copy of the action plan is distributed to faculty within the unit

By June 15 of following year

Dean submits detailed progress report to PBC on implementation of Action Plan
